François Véron, born 1969
François has been a private equity investor for the last 8 years. Previously, he worked 3 years in corporate functions at Casino, the second-leading French listed food retail company.
He joined Cita Gestion, a Paris-based private equity investment firm, at the inception of the Cita FCPR1 fund in June 2001. He invested in 11 companies, including Direct Energie, Allociné, 1001 Listes, Faab / Fabricauto, Travelprice and Xilam Animation.
He works for Newfund since 2008.
François was a Director of the French Association of private equity investors (AFIC, 2009-2011).

Patrick Malka, born 1967
Patrick holds a Master’s degree in finance and accounting from Paris Dauphine University. He began his career as an auditor at Ernst & Young. He then joined Gaumont, the leading French movie production company, as internal auditor, then deputy CFO.
In 2000, Patrick joined the Cryo Group, a prominent video games producer and publisher, as CFO, and in 2002 became Chief Operating Officer of Xilam Animation,a cartoon producer. His broad scope of responsibility at Xilam included structuring the company following its IPO, and managing relations with investors and the financial community. He left Xilam early 2008 to join Newfund.
Charles-Antoine Morand, born 1973
Charles-Antoine started his career as an auditor at Arthur Andersen. In 1999, as 3i launched its venture capital activity in France, he joined its team to invest mainly in the software area, pre- and post the Tech bubble burst, with successful investments and exits such as Calendra, Highdeal or K-Mobile.
With the enterprise virus inoculated, he then co-founded Cinetroc in 2004, an Internet start-up where to swap your DVD, books and video games. From 2006 onwards, as a fundraiser, he helped entrepreneurs finding capital either through IPO or private placement.
He joined Newfund in 2009.
Nicolas Gagnez, born 1973
Nicolas co-founded SNV in 1995. SNV develops databases containing cities buildings and streets photos, and is accessed via the “Pages Jaunes” porta. The company was acquired by Wanadoo at the end of 2000.
Member of Wanadoo Portal's executive committee, Nicolas led Mappy which had become France’s 10th most frequently visited website by the time he left the company in 2005.
He then joined Credit Agricole Private Equity as investments director where he invested in companies such as Direct Energie. He was appointed chairman of the software vendor Deny All in 2007.
He invested in Newfund at inception in 2008 and joined the team in 2012.
